I am a new owner of a L245 750 hours two wheel drive with 60 belly finish mower $4100 paid. Can anyone explain the model number stuff. Also any idea on HP on my unit? Was the price good?

The B series is the smallest, next size up is the L, then the Largest is the M.It gets a little confusing in L's because you have the Utilitarian Old style L's like the L2500, L2350, then you have fully loaded updated Grand L's, then you have the regular L's that start the 43 hp range.In addition a B20/21 and L35 Tractor Loader BackHoe are the HD Frame based excavator machines.I don't know the L245 but it fall in with L2350 ....

I own a L245DT.The DT satnds for Dual Traction.My Tractor is a 79 model with 675 hours and a loader.I really like it. It would be nice to have power steering.It has 24 HP.Go to your dealer and buy the manual.It costs about $18.00 Not alot of info but its nice to have.Enjoy ....

What does duel traction do? Is it a differential lock?My l245 says its 25hp. seems it is a 77 or 78 ....

Kubota L245 is a 24.5 hp. dt stands for double traction and means 4x4 in japanB and L series are compact tractors until you get into 35 hp.L series start at 18.5 hp and go up to 45 48 hp then jump to full size M series ....
